The Korea Science and Engineering Foundation, hereafter referred to as "KOSEF", represented by Mr. Jin Ho Park, President and the Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica, hereafter referred to as "CONICYT" represented by Mr. Enrique d´Etigny Lyon, President, both entities hereafter to as "the parties".

• To establish and exchange program whereby scientists in Chilean and Korea universities, laboratories, and research centers shall have an opportunity to cooperate in the performance of scientific and technological investigation (12/ man/month);
• To initiate an educational exchange program whereby Korea an Chilean Post-graduate students shall enrich their professional training programs (60 man/moth);
• To support international joint seminars whereby Korea and Chilean Scientists shall have an opportunity to exchange scientific information. join seminars can be held in either country. The co-organizers should, within the terms of approval, prepare the joint seminar in detail;
• To exchange scientific information, publications and other specialized technical and scientific documents;
• To create, develop and implement, as deemed necessary and appropriate, any other mutually advantageous instruments of scientific and technological cooperation.
