ALCUE-Net and CONECTA2020 ICT Technology Platforms Workshop

The ALCUE-Net project (where CONICYT participates) and CONECTA2020 are organizing this workshop which aims at providing an overview on the origins of Technology Platforms in EU (ETPs) and how they can collaborate with the Technology Platforms present in Latin America and the Caribbean (LATPs). The discussion will tackle different levels of performance of TPs in LAC, explaining main reasons and how cooperation between EU and LAC can improve the deployment of ICT for development. Participants will be able to share their experience, best practices, and the results of their initiatives on TP, thus further learning from each other. The focus will be the identification of needs to support future cooperation on ICT research, and proposing recommendations for the SOM process (Senior Officials Meeting on R&I CELAC-EU).
This meeting is a follow-up of the “Latin American ICT Technology Platforms Meeting” that was held in Guadalajara on the 1st of October 2014. During this meeting eight Latin American countries were able to exchange their experiences and name an official representative from each technology platform.
