CALL FOR THE WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION

 

CONICYT and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) invite Chilean researchers to subscribe to the workshop on “Joint Research on Natural Disasters Management between China and Chile” to take place on 30 October 2017 in order to strengthen links between researchers of China and Chile in the field of natural disasters management.

 

In order to subscribe please send e-mail to skakimova@conicyt.cl, specifying three themes of your interest (prioritized) from the list below with the short letter of interest (please specify whether you have contacts with Chinese researchers already or not) and your brief CV in English (up to 2 pages).

 

There are only thirty (30) places available, so please send your inscription as soon as possible. Your inscription will be confirmed then.

1-Technology oriented to characterization of crust and its deformation

2-Remote technologies and laboratory testing for analysis of landslides generated by earthquakes

3-Monitoring systems (information flows, technological infrastructure)

4-Intense rains detection systems, etc.

5-Management of cascade effects

6-Remote sensing (satellite technology and radars of wide applications, from the monitoring of the deformation of terrestrial crust, estimation of damages and overflows, characterization of hydro climatic variables such as rain, etc.)
