Contest Astronomical Observing Proposals for Chilean time on Gemini South Observatory 2011-B

Telescope time is allocated on a competitive semester, where every astronomer (the group) requested telescope hours to solve a problem that is considered important. Such problems require high precision observations, made art instrumentation. En particular, Gemini telescope is optimized to observe in the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum. May be included, on proposals to tender, PhD students actively collaborate in research, it also being possible participation of observations.

This contest corresponds to the designation of observation time to be executed during the second semester of the,es,Between August 1,,es,conicyt.cl,en,Thursday,es,March of,es,Result Contest Astronomical Observation Proposals for Chilean Time in Gemini Sur Observatory,es 2011, entre el 1° de Agosto de 2011 and 31 January 2012. Researchers especifcan the time required for each proposal in hours

Postulation

Applicants must submit proposals according to the Application Form found at http://conicyt.cl . Is required to submit the proposal using the Phase I Tool software, (PIT), which are detailed in the nomination especifcaciones. Finally the proposed observation must be written in English.
