Masters Scholarships for Overseas Education Professionals SCHOLARSHIP CHILE – Call 2012

The National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT) launches tender to award scholarships, hereinafter referred Magister SCHOLARSHIPS ABROAD FOR EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIPS CHILE- Chileans / as and foreigners with permanent residency in Chile, to initiate studies leading to the award of the degree of Master of universities and / or foreign research centers of excellence.

The scholarship is aimed at education professionals of excellence with the aim of forming human capital advanced in different areas of education as: Resume, Evaluation, School Management, Learning, Deepening Disciplinary Areas, Teaching Pedagogy, School Coexistence, Formation of values, Teaching English, inter.

Duration:

The grant is intended to fund Magister academic programs with a duration of up to two years (four semesters). If an application is not filed in these terms, be declared out of bases.

The duration of the benefits of the scholarship of Master, shall annually, renewable up to two years from the entry of the grantee to the curriculum and subject to performance and academic results obtained by him / a.

Benefits:

Summary benefits associated with master's studies (for detailed information see paragraph 12.1 insolvency bases):

A round-trip ticket, economy class, from the nearest airport to the city of residence of the / the grantee / a to the city of residence in the country of destination.

A sum equivalent to the cost of tuition fees and curriculum.

Allocation of installer for only $ 500 (five hundred dollars), for those scholars who initiated studies magister.

Annual allocation for purchase of books and / or materials of $ 300 (three hundred dollars).

Annual premium for health insurance / the grantee / a for a maximum amount of $ 800 (eight hundred U.S. dollars).

Assignment for monthly maintenance / the grantee / a magister during program, as cost of living in the destination country (see Annex II amounts of bases).

Assignment for monthly maintenance / spousal, by the time he / the grantee / to declare your company, as cost of living in the destination country (see Annex II amounts of bases).

Assigning monthly support for each child / a child under 18 years old, by the time he / to declare your company, as cost of living in the destination country (see Annex II amounts of bases).

Extension of the monthly maintenance allowance fellows with pre and post natal up to four months in total.

Only if there are benefits granted by foreign entities as expressly provided, the cost will be funded intensive language course for a maximum of 6 (six) months in the country of destination. The scholarship targets Chilean / as foreign and / as with permanent residency in Chile, which have the following requirements.

Possessing or Professor title conferred by Normal Schools Educator, Universities in the country, well as those granted by foreign academic institutions properly validated in Chile.

Be, at time of application, practicing professionally in Chile in subsidized educational establishments (municipal, or subsidized private schools governed by the DL 3.166; the latter for the case of professional technical schools administration delegated to corporations).

Owning accrediting academic excellence, at least, one of the following requirements:

Have obtained a final average of Bachelor's and / or University or above five (5.0)on a seven (7.0) or equivalent; or,

Be within the 30% top of his class of undergraduate degree or graduation.

Opening of application period and publication of bases: Tuesday 14 August 2012.

Closing paper filing period: Wednesday 12 September 2012, 14:00 hrs. (Chilean continental time). The nomination dossier with letters of recommendation in the nominations made in paper, must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Human Capital Development Program Advanced, through the Office of CONICYT, located in Bernarda Morin N ° 551 – Providence, Santiago.
