Santiago de Chile, 8 July 2013.- In order to train doctors in all areas of knowledge in universities ranked among the top ten globally according to international rankings, CONICYT and Scholarships have been awarded CHILE 11 new scholarships for Doctorate contest Abroad Bilateral Agreement, Call 2013. The selected destinations are the University of Cambridge, Columbia University and Harvard University.
For this call, were selected who met the required eligibility requirements and who were not assigned to any incompatibility, as indicated in the rules bankruptcy. A total of 13 applications received, 11 were acceptable and consequently, were declared selected.
"We want to express our satisfaction, as this first call is an achievement of collaboration with the best universities in the world ", said the director of the Advanced Human Capital Program of CONICYT, Denise Saint- Jean.
Those selected will develop their doctoral research primarily in the areas of Education, Physics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Of the universities that made this call, Cambridge University will be the fate of six of the selected, Columbia University will host four Harvard University awarded to one of the. For the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (WITH), other possible destinations for this contest, no nominations were received.
Notification of results
The results will be posted on the website of CONICYT (www.conicyt.cl) and that of SCHOLARSHIPS CHILE (www.becaschile.cl). Selected applicants will also receive, CONICYT email indicating the procedure for acceptance of the grant.
Individual results of the contest will be notified to each applicant (bases selected out) via email within the next few days.
