Investigador extranjero visitante:
Thorsten Arnold

Fecha de visita:
Octubre 6 a Noviembre 11 de 2007

Actividades a realizar:

1. EDIC-MPMAS: Validation of coupled multiagent model with EDIC hydrological model
1.1. Face-validate hydrological EDIC model with MPMAS with local experts
1.2. Create set of defined model scenarios for use cases
1.3. Run model scenario for CNR use case
1.4. Experimental Design for Sensitivity Analysis
2. WASIM Model: New irrigation efficiency module
2.1. Discuss and re-run (finalized) model sensitivity experiment (“Irrigation Efficiency”)
2.2. Compare sensitivity experiments with expert opinion, and data if available
3. MPMAS – WASIM coupling experiments
3.1. Based on (1.1), specify hydrological part of scenario for WASIM run
3.2. Run coupled scenarios
3.3 Face-Validation of coupled scenarios

Outputs:

1. Set of input data for model scenarios
1.1. Datasets
1.2. Narrative for each dataset (1-page)
2. Validation and sensitivity analysis of Wasim irrigation efficiency module
2.1. Dataset
2.2. Publication
3. Hydrological input data for MPMAS – WASIM coupling
3.1. Dataset

Definition:

With “face-validation” we refer to model outputs which are:

  • Logically consistent to experts
Changes in model parameters create changes in model behaviour at a scale that matches local experts’ opinion
