Los objetivos específicos a los que apuntan los Anillos de Investigación son los siguientes:El objetivo de la línea de financiamiento Anillos de Investigación, es fomentar el desarrollo científico y tecnológico del país, by funding research projects supported by a collaborative, comprehensive and multidisciplinary. For this, el Programa de Investigación Asociativa fomenta la conformación de grupos de investigación científica, regardless of discipline, within research institutions, which may apply singly or in combination, in order to strengthen both the development of the exact sciences and technology, as the formation of human capital within these. This instrument should generate critical mass within or disciplines in which projects are framed, allowing the discipline is developed and some of the research teams and formed, eventualmente puedan llegar a formar Centros de investigación dentro del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología.
- Conducting scientific and technological research of high level and international level.
- El entrenamiento de investigadores(as) recientemente formados y la formación de estudiantes de pre y postgrado, ya sea a través de la participación activa del equipo de investigadores(as) del proyecto en programas de postgrado ya consolidados o en formación o bien a través de tutorías a estudiantes de todas las categorías, dictando cursos específicos en programas de pre y postgrado, etc..
- El establecimiento de redes de colaboración con otros equipos de investigación similares, centros de investigación nacionales y extranjeros, international agencies, curricula of foreign institutions, etc..
- Development of communication activities to sensitize Chilean society, sobre la importancia del quehacer de la Ciencia y la Tecnología y su inserción en todo aspecto de la vida cotidiana.
CONICYT, through the Research Partnership Program, y el Instituto Antártico Chileno (INACH), en su calidad de institución nacional encargada de planificar, coordinar, orientar y controlar las actividades científicas y tecnológicas en el continente antártico, tienen como objetivo conjunto el financiamiento, coordinación, desarrollo y seguimiento de proyectos Anillos de Investigación en Ciencia Antártica. Con este propósito el INACH prestará apoyo al desarrollo e implementación de las actividades del proyecto a realizar en el territorio antártico y/o ecosistemas asociados.
Los proyectos presentados para Anillos de Investigación en Ciencia Antártica deberán cumplir los objetivos anteriormente mencionados, focalizando su investigación en la resolución de dos grandes temas:
- Definir el efecto del mundo cambiante sobre la biota terrestre antártica, es decir incrementar el conocimiento sobre la interacción de distintos estresores abióticos y la vida antártica desde la escala genómica a la ecosistémica.
- Establecer la búsqueda sistemática, clasificación, comprensión de mecanismos evolutivos e investigación de nuevas fuentes de compuestos químicos, genes, proteínas y otros bioproductos que posean una aplicación actual o potencial, y que se encuentren en los componentes de la diversidad biológica antártica.
Target Audience
Son beneficiarias de este concurso las Instituciones Participantes, definidas en el numeral 2.1 de las presentes Bases. Podrán postular a este concurso, grupos de investigadores(as) nacionales o extranjeros con residencia en Chile durante la ejecución del proyecto, que posean una destacada trayectoria científica la cual será debidamente evaluada. Los investigadores(as) extranjeros deberán contar con permiso de residencia que permita ejercer actividades remuneradas en Chile.

Usted deberá verificar de acuerdo a la fecha de notificación, la fecha de cierre de postulación que le corresponde.
Adicionalmente, debe tener presente, que la postulación enviada y el patrocinio institucional, deben ser realizados antes de la fecha de cierre. (No existe un plazo diferido para el Patrocinio Institucional).
