Regional Contest IV Research and Development Projects, for the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica, 2011

REGIONAL Programs and CONICYT FONDEF Launch Contest IV Regional FONDEF Program, for the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica.

The specific objectives of the competition are:

  • Increase the amount and quality of research and development, I D, with emphasis on technological development, oriented innovation in priority areas or sectors of production established by the Region.
  • Increase linking R & D institutions with businesses and other regional developers or demanding technological solutions.
  • Increase involvement of regional actors in research, development and innovation with other national and foreign, both R & D institutions and companies and other entities in the innovation system.
  • Strengthening the capacities and competencies of R & D institutions, and other regional companies to formulate, management, implementation and transfer of results of research projects, development and innovation.

It invites eligible entities to submit projects for R & D, following the instructions given in the Tender, and using application forms defined for this call. It is strongly recommended, revise Annex 1 of the Tender, which states the requirements defined by the Region.
You must apply through the platform, specially equipped for the Contest; must also submit four copies of the draft.


Legal persons national nonprofit (including, universities, professional institutes, technological institutes, foundations and corporations) can present research and development projects (I D) designed to contribute to the scientific, technology and innovation in the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica. This call is financed with funds from the Innovation Fund for Competitiveness of the Regional Government of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica.

The printed receipt of proposals will be made at the offices of FONDEF, Bernarda Morín 495, Providence, Santiago. Entities located outside the metropolitan area proposals can ship fast or courier mail to that address, within the same date and time shown.
