East 8 October kicked off the national youth science fair oldest in Latin America. The Science Festival organized by the Directorate of Libraries, Archives and Museums, DIBAM, with the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Commission for Scientific and Technological, CONICYT, through its EXPLORE program is installed through Sunday 13 with a variety of free scientific and technological actions, addressed to all public.
The Parque Quinta Normal is the open space for the installation of interactive exhibits, workshops, games, talks, interesting film stands installed for more than thirty institutions of the scientific, technological and cultural development.
Some of the outstanding shares for the week beginning is the Festival of Chemistry at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile addressed to children in basic education and has a total of 8 experiments as: "Magic Nuudles" and "wants to be solid liquid" among others. Each experiment was independently developed.
Program Director EXPLORE CONICYT, Mariano Rosenzvaig, emphasizes that "all activities of the Science Week open the possibility for people to, even those furthest from the scientific knowledge, approach and take ownership of these shares, making science part of the life of each one of us ".
"We invite the community to attend the Quinta Normal Park where you will find a variety of experiments, Solar cars, animal species on display, even a sample of the Chilean Air Force aircraft, which together contribute to the dissemination of science and technology in the country "
Will be present during the week Buin Zoo, Metropolitan Zoo, Seismic Simulator Shows Science Life changes us CONICYT, Games laboratory: Video Games Lab, Games Not Newtonian Fluid Science (constant pool) and vinegar and baking soda rocket.
