National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research

• The institution conducted recognizes researchers who have obtained the National Science Award in different ways in the past two years.

In order to honor the outstanding researchers who were deserving of the National Science Award for his distinguished record in the different areas of knowledge, President of CONICYT, Dr. Francisco Brieva, convened Ligia Gargallo, National Natural Science Award Year 2014; Sonia Montecino, National Prize of Humanities and Social Sciences 2013; José Rodríguez Pérez, National Award for Applied Science and Technology 2014, and Sergio González, National History Prize 2014, a breakfast on Friday 12 December in the Council Room of the institutional building.

The renowned scientists had the opportunity to talk and share their reflections on the development of science in the country.

The meeting was also attended by the Executive Director (City) CONICYT, Maria Elena Boisier Programs and directors of the institution.
