Contest III Technological Research 2014 - IDEA Program.

The overall objective of the idea is to financially support the implementation of projects of scientific and technological research, with potential economic and / or social, The results are obtained and evaluated at short.

The program consists of two instruments: The Applied Science Contest, which funds R & D projects to validate proof of concept, models or prototypes evaluated in laboratory or small scale, and Technological Research Competition, supporting R & D projects aimed at producing and evaluating results in conditions closer to the defined application. It must include the results of a previous research project and meet the respective eligibility conditions.

Types of projects:

In this contest may submit projects of two types:

R & D Projects precompetitive: Projects of scientific and technological research whose results are intended to generate product innovations, processes or services market impact.

R & D Projects Public Interest: Projects of scientific and technological research, The results are intended to generate product innovations, processes or services intended for the benefit of the Chilean community or important sectors and also it can not be appropriated by individual agents. This condition must be strictly based on project formulation.

Duration :

Up 24 months

Benefits:

The maximum grant CONICYT deliverable will be up 70% the total project cost, with a maximum of 150 million pesos.

The projects should be funded at least one 10% of total cost of the subsidy beneficiary entities. This contribution could be in financial financing incremental and non-incremental. The projects will be financed at least one 20% of the total cost for the companies or entities associated.

For the case of pre-competitive projects all this contribution should be incremental.

In the case of projects of public interest may be incremental input and / or incremental.

Entities that are eligible to receive grants Fondef, national legal persons, nonprofit, including universities and colleges recognized by the State, technological institutes and research and development, both public and private, and other institutions engaged in scientific and technological activities and aiming, expressly stated in its statutes, conducting research and development activities.

The entities that are presented for the first time to a contest of research and development projects FONDEF, should be sent to CONICYT, at least 30 calendar days before the competition closing, The following documents: (i) copy of deed of constitution and its amendments; (ii) accreditation of the personality of the legal representative; and (iii) certificate of good standing of the legal, previously issued with no more than 30 calendar days before the date of application.

Entities that have previously participated in a competition FONDEF research and development that are in the list published on the website:https://www.conicyt.cl / FONDEF are exempted from submitting this documentation.
