FATHER Attraction Program and Advanced Predictive Human Capital

These funds, to be implemented in terms of up 36 months, promote the arrival of highly skilled professionals to industry, they will execute research projects, Development and Innovation.

Seven projects were selected in the Second Call for Inclusion in the Productive Sector 2013, which is intended to encourage the employment of researchers and innovation managers.

"The inclusion of these professionals in companies and technology centers aims to promote the implementation of research projects, Development and Innovation (I D i) into the productive sector, thus strengthening the capacities of the sector, and closer to the world of research ", explains Carmen Luz Latorre, Attraction Programme Director and Integration Advanced Human Capital (FATHER) National Commission of Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT).

By strengthening capabilities in R & D within the Chilean productive sector, encouraging step is the link between the industry and academia, which in turn contribute to social and economic development of the country.

One of the peculiarities of the call, is that no distinction between disciplines, explains Carmen Luz Latorre, opening reception to projects in all areas, which may be submitted by companies and scientific-technological, they can last two to three years with funding from CONICYT.

CONICYT's contribution results in the co-financing of fees / the researchers / as, percentages of 80%, 50% and 30% of income to be received by each researcher / a in the first, second and third year respectively.
