“CONICYT greatly appreciates the work that seeks to develop the regional center and therefore we will be participating, in their various levels and activities, to boost their training with support in all aspects necessary”, said the director of the Regional Program CONICYT, Paula González, in the speech that opened the inauguration ceremony.

The Catholic universities and Valparaiso Valparaiso, that were represented by its rector, Aldo Valley, and Vice Chancellor Nelson Vasquez, respectively, have the responsibility and the work of conducting research objectives associated with this project, also considering contributing to knowledge generation, advanced human capital formation, become a national benchmark to enhance the competitiveness of the Region of Valparaíso and generate an impact on the knowledge industry, tourism and heritage.

“This is a great challenge. Now we have to realize the Centre and the Corporation Pro Aconcagua will have the mission of being the community liaison, therefore have to transfer all the information obtained from research that makes universities and actions that will allow the community will understand that this project has an economic benefit, educational and cultural”, said the manager of the Center, Claudia Gajardo.
