Agronomist Gustavo Briones participate in bioferia to be held next 30 April in Plaza de Armas of Quillota.

In order to publicize the impact of so-called Greenhouse Whitefly of community and the importance of reducing the use of chemicals in agriculture, Gustavo Briones, professional investigator Regional Innovation Centre Hortofrutícola Valparaiso, Ceres (funded by CONICYT through its Programme Regional), will give you a free talk next 30 April, to 16 hours, in the Municipal Auditorium Quillota.

The talk is part of the realization of the Fair Cleaner Production which organizes monthly Local Development Program, Prodesal 2 Quillota, the last Wednesday of each month in the Plaza de Armas. There, food producers whose techniques seek environmental conservation and human health care, flock to directly market their food.

In this context, Talk about whitefly is positioned as a tool to strengthen agriculture and its territory, since it emphasizes the development of skills they consider the entirety of the components of the environmental problem

"When we refer to sustainability, we refer to the trilogy, environmental, social and economic, so we know that the process must be activated collaboratively”, notes Gustavo Briones, Ceres who leads within the Territorial Center program Insect Management.

Activity, open to all age groups, will take place at 16 hours in the Auditorium, while the Productive Fair will run from 10 from the morning until 19 hours in the Plaza de Armas of Quillota.

As in his inaugural version, the fair will feature fruit and vegetables, cheeses, jams, oils and even cosmetics and beauty, naturally produced.
